Product description

Him floor SL2000/ SL3000/ SL4000 consist of graded aggregates bound in a pigmented epoxy resin binder. All SL flooring products are supplied as a four-component system, pre-weighed for on site- mixing or in bulk components. They are flow applied floor topping for use at a thickness of resp. 2 mm (him floor SL2000), 3 mm (him floor SL3000), or 4-6 ( him floor SL4000).
When laid him floor SL 2000/SL 3000/SL 4000, provide a smooth, light reflective surface. They are available in a wide range of standard RAL colours and can be scattered with flakes.

Fakes

The decorative appearance of Him floor SL2000/ SL3000/ SL4000can be greatly enhanced by scattering the surface with flakes mixtures is available.

Temperature limitations

Him floor SL2000/ SL3000 / SL4000 should not be applied at temperature below 5°C, or at a substrate temperature which is lower than the dew point plus 3°C.
The maximum application temperature is 35°C .

Surface preparation

It is essential to thoroughly prepare the floor surface in order to achieve a sound, clean and dry substrate. Concrete substrate acid wash, gritblsting, milling, or a combination of these techniques.
The substrate needs to be levelled before applying Him floor SL2000/ SL3000/ SL4000.

Limitations

New concrete floors should be at least 28 days old and give a hygrometer reading not exceeding 5% (protimeter).

With non-self-supporting concrete floors transfer of moisture from the soil might occur, resulting in adhesion failures of the flooring system. In order to judge the suitability of a substrate beforehand: apply the rubber mat test.

Primer

Apply HIM primer 30 or HIM primer 31 on the prepared substrate. Mix both components of the primer till a homogeneous mixture is obtained. The primer should be applied immediately with a roller or brush in a thin continuous film. Gare should be taken to avoid over application or puddles. If the existing floor is very porous second coat may be necessary. Him floor SL2000/ SL3000/ SL4000 is applied when the primer is tack-free.

Mixing

Proper mixing of the components essential. mix the base and hardner in a mixing vessl.add the colour pot and mix till an even colour shown .add the aggregate filler and mix all components for another 3-5 minutes till a homogeneous mixture is obtained . do not add solvent. It is important that all components are intermixed thoroughly with a forced-action mixer or an approved spiral paddle in a slow speed heavy-duty drill so that no traces of the components remain unmixed.
